Young Perpetual Professed Annual Convention
The annual convention of the PDDM Young Perpetually Professed was held in Capas, Tarlac from April 27 to May 1st, 2010. The venue of the annual convention was chosen to make it more convenient for fr. Quitalig, SSP, who graciously accepted to be our speaker for the convention. It is the Quitalig farm planted with more than 300 mango trees and unique swimming pool with roofing to spare its swimmer from the summer heat.
Fr. Quitalig shared his present life condition to us in a very casual and brotherly fashion. His theme is “Leadership in the mind of Primo Maestro and Timothy Giaccardo”. With his experience in the Society of St. Paul, he also explained Pauline leadership in the role of the superior and the formator. He prepared some materials including that of the life of the Founder, but he was very casual and spontaneous in sharing how he lived it and how he is living his Pauline life today as beset by sickness and old age.
Other features of the annual convention participated by Srs. M. Lilibeth, Mercy Grace, Josephine Joy, Irene, Nimfa, and Abigail, is a revisiting of the past year journey and the echo of the Collaborative Ministry Seminar given by Fr. Brendan to the PDDM superiors. It provided them the occasion how to exercise collaboration to the optimum in the respective communities they are inserted.
The other moments of the convention were meaningful and memorable moments for “bonding” and “unwinding”. It was an energizing experience that prepared us for the next task that awaits us PDDM Perpetually Professed. Many thanks for the wholesome experience of “bondedness”.
