DAY OF CONSECRATED LIFE IN TAIWAN

The Archdiocese of Taipei celebrated the Day of Consecrated Life on February 2, 2018 with the theme “Avenue of Stars.” Among those who were present during the celebration were the religious men and women, the faithful and the priests who had just finished their annual retreat. The activity started at 2 o’clock in the afternoon with a red carpet walk at the entrance of the Curia. This was followed by the celebration of the Liturgy of the Word with Archbishop Hung as the Presider. There were colorful and jovial presentations from various groups of men and women religious. The Pauline family – composed of FSP, PDDM and SJBP – also rendered a song number and surprised the assembly with their dances. It was a well-participated presentation since the whole assembly was also invited to join the group as they dance to the beat of the song “Shine, Jesus shine”. The celebration culminated in a meal in which the sharing of food brings in the spirit of communion and the Archbishop gave a gift of appreciation to every participating group.
