Ground blessing 2019

June 30, 2019—The PDDM sisters celebrated the Solemnity of St. Paul the Apostle with thanksgiving for two significant gifts—the ground blessing of the soon to rise Divine Master Complex in Antipolo, and the new members of the Association of Pauline Cooperators—Friends of the Divine Master (2 in Antipolo and 1 in Pampanga). In the morning, during the Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Gil Alinsangan, SSP, the couple Antonio and Irene Bosas of the APC-FDM Antipolo Unit made their promise in the presence of Sr. M. Anthony Basa, Provincial Superior of the PDDM Philippine-Taiwan-Hong Kong Province with her Vicar and FDM Overall Coordinator, Sr. M. Sonia Cerdenia. Sr. M. Celine Santiago, FDM Antipolo Unit formator, together with other FDM professed members also graced the celebration with their joyful presence. While in Pampanga, a new member in the name of Lourdes Esguerra made her promise before Sr. M. Christian Jordan, Pampanga unit formator, and Virginia Guarin, FDM Coordinator – Pampanga. The day continued with the ground blessing of the Divine Master Complex which presupposes the start of the construction soon. Still led by Fr. Gil Alinsangan, the event commenced with a rite of blessing which gathered PDDM sisters from different communities, the APC-FDM and some distinguished guests. In his brief homily, Fr. Alinsangan recalled the memory of Blessed James Alberione, founder of the Pauline Family who himself blessed the present convent. He also recognized the graces obtained and will still be obtained for us through the prayers of St. Paul, Blessed Alberione and other Pauline saints in order to bring to completion the said project. The four corners of the ground were also blessed by the Provincial Councilors – Sr. M. Magdalene, Sr. M. Lawrence, Sr. M. Sonia and Sr. M. Nimfa. The gathering culminated with an agape, a form of thanksgiving to God for these blessings.
