Celebration of God's Faithful Love

Sr. M. Anthony Basa, the Provincial Superior of the Philippine-Taiwan-Hong Kong Province, celebrated her Silver Anniversary during the Eucharistic Celebration held at Alberione Center Chapel, Quezon City last February 11, 2021, Memorial of the Our Lady Lourdes.

The occasion was graced with the presence of His Excellency, Most Reverend Charles John Brown, D.D., Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, who officiated the Mass with the Rite of Renewal of Vows. He was joined by his Secretary, Rev. Fr. Rolly Garcia, Most Reverend Nolly Buco, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Antipolo, and the Pauline priests--Rev. Fr. Rollin Flores, Rev. Fr. Gil Alinsangan, and Rev. Fr. Norman Pena. Rev. Fr. Jojo Zerrudo, Rev. Fr. Genaro Diwa, Rev. Fr. Sonny Cotiamco and some friends of Sr. M. Anthony were also present in the celebration.

In his homily, the Apostolic Nuncio cited three points of reflection regarding religious vocation. Firstly, he affirmed that religious vocation it is primarily a "call" uniquely addressed to each and every one of us out of God's love, and that Sr. M. Anthony received a special call which she lovingly responded to. Secondly, it is "discipleship"-- learning from the school of Jesus Master and being transformed by His life and Word. Thirdly, it is about "perseverance"--loving the God of consolation rather than loving the consolations of God. One who perseveres is allowing the Lord to lead him/her forward. He added that it is a challenge to allow that call through discipleship to become fruitful in perseverance.

The live streaming of the celebration via Facebook was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Keiv Aires Dimatatac, SSP together with Bro. Christian Tafalla.

The Mass was then followed by a simple agape.
