Novizie Grande in Trimester Course
The Juniors of the Philippine-Taiwan-Hongkong Province started their 3-month integration course in preparation for perpetual profession. Together with Sr. M. Anthony Basa, Provincial Superior, the four juniors: Sr. M. Jessiebel B. Maata, Sr. M. Cherylsalve Cualquira, Sr. M. Julieta Jose and Sr. M. Emily Pitogo traveled on March 29 to Mother Lucia Community, Pampanga where they will be staying for the entire preparation.
On April 7, 2021, Mother General, Sr. M. Micaela Monetti from Rome, Italy, welcomes the four Juniors through online Goggle Meet. They had a wonderful and meaningful conversation with Mother General as they share their experiences and desires to Sr. Micaela. This meeting marks the opening of the preparation.
On Easter Sunday, the Novizie Grande were invited by Most Rev. Bartolome Santos, Bishop of the Diocese of Iba to the rite and Holy Mass on the opening of the Holy Door of Inang Poonbato Church in Iba, Zambales. The celebration was made more meaningful with the presence and active participation of the Aetas, the indigenous people of the province. This exposure of the Juniors is an involvement in the commemoration of the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines.
On their first week of stay in Mother Lucia Community, they had their 3-day leveling-off sessions with Sr. M. Anthony as preparation for their upcoming classes for the entire course. Sr. M. Anthony Basa and Fr. Dante Lumabas, SSP are their first teachers on the first week. They are expecting to learn more from the other Sisters abroad like Sr. M. Regina Cesarato, Sr. M. Anetta Szczykutowicz and Sr. M. Vicky Victorino on their second week.
The little community of the Novizie grande who are now in Pampanga are living a simple lifestyle as religious sisters. They have their own assignments in cooking, cleaning the house, laundry, gardening, etc. Everyday, they are attending the celebration of Lauds and Holy Mass at the Society of St. Paul, Pampanga.
Let us continue to accompany our Novizie Grande with our prayers on their integration course in preparation for their Perpetual Profession.
