A tribute of thanksgiving and creativity was organized by the sisters of the PDDM Philippine-Taiwan-Hong Kong Province to celebrate the feastday of Sr. M. Anthony Basa, their Provincial Superior, last June 12 and 13, 2022.

On June 11, an exhibit of the sisters' creativities and apostolic initiatives took place at the PDDM Apostolic Center in Ermita, Manila. It opened with a Mass presided by Fr. Pete Barrisoro, SSP together with two concelebrating priests--Fr. Jose Aripio, SSP and Fr. Jonelito Mallari Sison, SSS.

The day proper of the memorial of St. Anthony of Padua on June 13 was graced with the Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Genie Diwa, the Executive Secretary of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Liturgy. In his homily, he highlighted the virtues of St. Anthony of Padua which flow from his relationships with the Word of God and the Cross of Christ, as well as his zeal for the mission.

In the afternoon of the same day, the sisters from the communities in Manila and Quezon City celebrated with the sisters at the Divine Master Convent in Antipolo with a barrio fiesta theme. Some sisters from Dagupan, Cebu and Davao were also present. Others paticipated online. Sr. M. Anthony expressed her gratitude to God and to her sisters in the PTH Province.

We thank the Lord for the service and dedication of Sr. M. Anthony Basa in the PTH circumscription, in the congregation and in the Church. May God continue to sustain her with the graces she needs in fulfilling the special ministry entrusted to her.
