Blessings of the PDDM Centenary

The PDDM Philippine-Taiwan-Hong Kong Province celebrated the Memorial of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on November 21, 2023 with two momentous events--the Opening of the Centenary Jubilee Door and the Blessing of the new Alberione House in Antipolo City.

The gathering started with a Rite of Opening of the Holy Door which segues to the celebration of the Holy Mass at the Divine Master Chapel. The Mass which started at 9:00am was followed by the rite of Blessing of the new convent of the sisters which will be the seat of the Provincial Government. The celebration was presided by Rev. Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite, Provincial Superior of the Society of St. Paul, together with other concelebrating priests.

Sr. M. Magdalene Magallanes gave her first message as the new Provincial Superior of the PDDM Philippine-Taiwan-Hong Kong Province. On behalf of the sisters, she expressed profound thanksgiving to God for the manifold gifts He manifested to the PTH Province and to the whole congregation throughout these 100 years. She thanked the persons who have been part of completing the Alberione House project. She especially thanked Sr. M. Anthony Basa, her predecessor as provincial superior, for her self-giving and service to the province.

The Opening of the Jubilee Door with of the Plenary Indulgence granted by the Holy See is a special grace received in view of the centenary anniversary of the PDDM foundation. This gift is now shared by the sisters with the rest of the faithful who will join all their centennial celebrations and visit their Divine Master Chapels in Antipolo, Cebu and Davao from November 21, 2023 until March 25, 2024.
